Main Job Description:
We are looking for subject matter experts in the fields of economics, biostatistics, decision analytics and health policy or related fields. They are responsible for designing and conducting analyses using DRE data and technologies, as well as other real world and patient level data. These will be used in analytical deliverables to customers in functions that span the pharmaceutical enterprise, from early clinical development through to product launch and life cycle management. These analytics support business development, clinical, medical and market access activities, and include systematic literature reviews, meta analyses (including network meta analyses), medical communication and econometric analyses in support of HTA and payer dossiers. These individuals will work in a multidisciplinary team of methodologists, statisticians, programmers and others to ensure appropriate framing of analyses to support the value propositions for our clients’ products and research programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent research skills, programming ability in at least one statistical analysis language (e.g., Stata, R, or SAS), a commitment to teamwork and collaborative problem solving, and aspiration for continuous learning and professional development. They will provide input to internal software design improvements for our products.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Design and conduct appropriate biostatistic, economic or disease-level models
Comparative analyses of clinical and observational studies, such as meta analyses, network meta analyses, meta regression and other biostatistical analyses
Health economic models used in market access dossiers (US and ex-US)
Clinical and patient-centered disease models to investigate factors associated with disease development and progression
Contributing to the preparation of study protocols, reviewing study materials, providing input on study design elements on sample size, developing statistical analysis plans, overseeing or executing analyses, and assisting with the interpretation and dissemination of findings
Advance the use of integrated quantitative approaches, focusing on economic, disease, and predictive modeling and simulation in partnership with other internal groups and external organizations.
Liaise with statistics, modeling, methodology and other quantitative groups in DRE to optimize delivery of economic analyses in our products.
Maintain awareness of external data, models and IT environment to collaborate across relevant internal stakeholders to enhance our capabilities in modeling, simulation, and data visualization.
Surveillance and response/submission to U.S. health technology assessment and value framework groups (e.g., ICER, AHRQ, BCBSA Evidence Street), as well as global HTA requirements
PhD (preferred) or Masters degree in life sciences, health economics, health services research, public policy, public health, outcomes research, epidemiology, biostatistics or a clinical discipline is required
Strong knowledge of market access, HTA reimbursement and pricing issues, policies and trends in US and ex-US markets
Strong research and analysis skills, e.g., ability to undertake reviews of the scientific literature including clinical and economic outcomes research
Direct experience in working with real world data using large data, including detailed analyses and publication
Strong ability in the area of quantitative methods and statistics, including relevant software such as SAS, STATA, or R
