The Jefferson College of Pharmacy is inviting applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in Social and Administrative Sciences at the Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor level. We are looking for individuals who have a strong commitment to innovative teaching, research, and service.
The preferred faculty candidate will be expected to provide didactic education to students in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, maintain an externally funded research program, and participate in a collaborative interdisciplinary research environment with other faculty within the College or University. This individual will also be expected to engage in service-related activities within the College and University.

Candidates with an expertise in Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacoeconomics, or Health Outcomes are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. degree in Social/Behavioral/Administrative Sciences or a related field or a Pharm.D. degree with advanced training in a social or administrative science discipline (e.g. fellowship in Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacoeconomics, or Health Outcomes). Ideal candidates for this position will have previous experience in teaching Doctor of Pharmacy students, grant proposal development, and publication development/submission. Applicants must have excellent communication and leadership skills as well as share in our commitment to preparing future leaders of the pharmacy profession.
The Jefferson College of Pharmacy (JCP) was founded in 2008. We have built an innovative Doctor of Pharmacy program that effectively prepares our graduates for interesting and challenging pharmacy practice roles across the health care continuum. Underpinning our curriculum is an accomplished and diverse team of healthcare leaders, teachers, researchers and preceptors (practitioners) who make up ou...r faculty. Collectively, this group brings a broad range of experiences and perspectives to our students, and they are recognized for their leadership in national and international pharmacy and healthcare membership organizations as well as their research in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, health outcomes, the clinical sciences and related fields.
Our classroom, laboratory and pharmacy-practice experiences at the JCP are complemented by a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities designed to enable our student pharmacists to become competent and confident practitioners who apply their knowledge and skills to care for individual patients as well as improve the overall health of our community. The JCP is dedicated to collaborative research initiatives that focus on disease etiology, development of novel therapies, drug and health outcomes and their economic impact, as well as enhanced patient care.
