A Research Fellow position is available in the under the mentorship of Dr. Bijan Borah in the Division of Health Care Policy & Research at Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. The core focus of this postdoctoral training position will be research projects that will evaluate cost-effectiveness of deploying pharmacogenomics in clinical practice across multiple therapeutic areas. The postdoctoral fellow will be part of the current teams at Mayo Clinic’s Department of Health Sciences, Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery and Center for Individualized Medicine.
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic. 800146; J2WRTP

Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in health economics, health services research or other relevant areas with expertise in economic modeling and simulation methods. The candidate is expected to be well-versed with the relevant statistical software such as TreeAge, Stata, R, and SAS.
Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
