YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Health Economics Outcomes Research Oncology, are to:
Lead the development and execution of a global, comprehensive and scientifically rigorous Global Health Economics & Outcomes Research (GHEOR) program that is aligned with the commercial and market access strategies for the brand(s) and with the must-win countries;
Be responsible for driving the collaborative generation of a payer evidence strategy, plan, the evidence deliverables (e.g., payer-perspective in clinical trials, Real Life studies, patient reported outcomes, resource data collection, statistical analyses including network meta-analyses and economic models) and their communication through Global Value Dossiers (GVD), publications, etc. for a Bayer product / indication together with the main countries and the cross-functional GMACS team;
Ensure the market access and payer perspective is integrated in the target product profile, the clinical development program(s), the Real Life Evidence development program(s) and in the commercial strategy of the brand(s);
Provide timely strategic recommendations to early clinical development programs by identifying appropriate comparators, target patient populations, and end-points (clinical, economic, patient reported outcomes) aimed at ensuring differentiation for the purpose of relative value demonstration, and by giving input to HPRs;
Coordinate a common global strategy and package for submissions to health technology assessment (HTA) agencies in securing reimbursement;
Develop together with the Access Core Team value propositions and proactively identify evidence requirements to support relative value demonstration and product differentiation;
Represent the GHEOR function in senior managerial meetings, manage effective communications with various internal global/regional team(s), as well as appropriate external forums and meetings.

Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Dr.PH, ScD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics. Minimally the position requires a Master’s degree (MSc, MPH) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics or an M.B.A. is required;
Ten years of experience working in HEOR, Market Access and/or closely related areas in a pharmaceutical company, including a major fraction of experience in Global roles and in high-level HTA countries (e.g. US, UK, Canada), high-levels of expertise in at least one of the core dimensions of Economic Modelling, Patient Reported Outcomes Development, Real Life Evidence Generation, with a broad range of hands-on experience cross the dimensions of evaluation of health care interventions, health economics, health related quality of life, and/or health services research studies for a pharmaceutical company, in depth knowledge of global health care systems and understand needs for health technology assessment and market access;
Experience in preparing of reviewing materials for reimbursement, fundamental knowledge in associated areas like Pharmacoepidemiology, Clinical Development and/ or Market Access strategies, excellent interpersonal skills: ability to understand and respond to multiple internal and external customer demands and manage and handle conflict constructively with limited supervisory support, excellent oral and written English communication skills, excellent judgment in conflict management, negotiation and influence, excellent process and project management skills, ability to manage a significant volume of projects with exercise of good triage and judgment skills, experience in management of GHEOR staff including objective setting, coaching and performance management preferred, project team leadership skills;
Skill in demonstrating leadership through action is important as well as skill in persuasion and negotiation as the position is one with responsibility for product lines but does not have supervisory authority over people assigned to the products;
Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (medicine, pharmacy, nursing);
Publication experience, project management skills and cross-functional team leadership experience.
