The Value Based US Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Scientist will be responsible for the development and execution of HEOR’s strategies and research activities associated with sustainable value-based evidence initiatives in immunology.
Working within a matrix including Medical, Payer, Channel, Health Systems, and Policy teams, the Value Based HEOR expert will develop the HEOR strategy and execute research collaborations to support sustainable value-based initiatives in immunology. The Value Based Scientist will work closely with the Field Based (FB) HEOR Scientist to seamlessly execute on these customer based collaborations which will include strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in the operational management, planning, design, protocol development, and research execution. Furthermore, they will be responsible for aligning stakeholders through clear and consistent communication of HEOR needs, opportunities / challenges, timelines, and results within a highly matrixed team to drive success. The VB HEOR expert will leverage new and existing relationships with external partners (payer, IDN, academic, employer) to successfully identify innovative approaches to developing solutions necessary to flawlessly execute this customer based research. It is anticipated that this position will have a more in-house facing roll, yet still work seamlessly with externally facing team members and customers to drive success.
PhD in Economics, Econometrics, or (pharmaco) epidemiology or any other related field with 5-7 years of relevant experience. Will consider PharmD/MD with 7-10 years relevant experience and background. Level commensurate with experience.
At least 2 years of experience leading a matrix team or direct reports
Deep knowledge of the US healthcare environment and our customers needs and challenges
Strong knowledge of current trends in value-based research
Proven understanding of customer-based HEOR scientific research
5+ years of experience conducting Health Economics Research within the pharmaceutical industry preferred
Very effective working within a highly matrix environment including excellent communications skills
Ability to align internal and external stakeholders around future value based partnerships initiatives
Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, self-awareness and relationship management
Ability to develop and execute on defined timelines
Must possess excellent technical and clinical skills.
