The Project Manager is responsible for participating in the design and execution of HEOR studies and programs in support of value propositions for life sciences clients within US and global markets under the direction of EPI-Q senior leadership. Scope of assignments encompass real-world studies, comparative effectiveness studies, pragmatic trials, economic evaluations and patient-reported outcomes studies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop/support study/project protocols in collaboration with EPI-Q clinical, account executive staff, sponsors, and investigators
Conduct literature reviews using databases such as PubMed, EMBASE, Medline, Web of Knowledge, Cochrane Library, and other tertiary medical information sources
Manage aspects of IRB submissions, including applications and ongoing communication
Conduct site recruitment activities for projects/studies
Train research study site and external collaborators on procedures for data acquisition
Contribute to data quality in collaboration with EPI-Q analytic and data management staff
Manage project/study activities to assure adherence to the project scope and maintenance of milestone accomplishment
Generate progress reports for internal EPI-Q and sponsor use
Generate and document communication with research sponsors and other participants, such as letters, e-mail correspondence, phone calls
Produce final project/study report and presentation of the project/study findings with EPI-Q clinical and biostatistical staff, including creation of graphical output from the data
Prepare abstracts and manuscripts for submission in collaboration with EPI-Q clinical, epidemiology, and/or biostatistical staff
Lead the development, scheduling, and implementation of meetings related to projects and studies (packet preparation, attend session in leadership role, take notes/minutes and transcribe, etc.)
Perform other related duties incidental to the work necessary to support projects and studies
This position requires:
A postgraduate degree (e.g., MS, MPH required, PhD, DrPH, PharmD preferred) in a relevant scientific discipline preferred, such as in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, Pharmacy Administration, or related disciplines.
The candidate must have 2-3 years’ experience in HEOR or market access experience from within the pharmaceutical industry or consulting organization. Consideration will be given to candidates with relevant academic research experience.

Relevant experience in design and execution of different types of HEOR studies in a multidisciplinary environment, including prospective observational studies, retrospective database analyses, chart reviews, health economic modeling, and patient-reported outcomes
General knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and lifecycle specific research activities
Knowledge of regulatory environment surrounding HEOR and pharmacy sponsored initiatives, specific knowledge of patient privacy regulations, regulations for protection of human research subjects (annual training required and provided)
Autonomous, self-motivated, well organized team player with a strong work ethic
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills in English (additional language(s) are valued)
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including coworkers, pharmaceutical / biotechnology company peers, medical, market access and HEOR thought leaders, and academic institution staff
Proficiency in Microsoft® Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required, familiarity with statistical software SAS, Stata, SPSS preferred
